The Opportunity
Experienced expert in supply planning, MRP, driving parts shortages to fulfillment, and Excess
and Obsolete inventory management. Hi-energy, detail oriented, planner who is also a
relentless problem solver. Collaborates and influences cross functionally with internal
Commodity Management, externally with Suppliers, and Contract Manufacturing partner.
Accountable for on-time delivery and the execution of near-term supply plans. Oversees
material availability at Contract Manufacturing partner. The environment is fast paced, with
short product life cycles, frequent engineering changes, and frequent demand changes. The
successful candidate must be a confident leader who is flexible and responsive to changes in
work demands, resourceful and persistent while overcoming obstacles, and determined to see
issues through to successful completion.
About the Team
At Nutanix, you'll be joining the Planning Team, a closely-knit group of four dedicated Planners based in San Jose, CA, with our manager located in Southern California. You will report to the Senior Director of Planning, who is committed to nurturing a productive and inclusive work environment. The position offers a hybrid work setup, requiring you to be in the office three days a week, allowing for both in-person collaboration and flexibility. Additionally, there are no travel requirements for this role, enabling you to focus fully on your responsibilities and team dynamics.
Your Role
- Ensure supply coverage in the near term and throughout the planning horizon by:
- Monitoring Contract Manufacturer on supply execution
- Communicating component level requirements to suppliers
- Maintaining schedule of inbound commits from suppliers to hub(s)
- Executing broker/grey market spot buys as needed
- Review monthly Aged and Excess & Obsolete inventory items and flag items for action
- Maintain customer-facing lead time data in NetSuite after product launch/GA
- Lead, and participate in, daily and weekly meetings
- Serve on various cross-functional project teams as required
- Complete special assignments as directed by Management
What You Will Bring
- Five plus years Planning & Scheduling experience
- Expert level of proficiency in MRP/ERP environments, NetSuite & Kinaxis Maestro
experience a plus - Skills to lead meetings cross functionally, with Contract Manufacturer, Nutanix Supply
- Base Management team, and/or other Supply Chain Ops groups
- Experience working with Contract Manufacturers & ODMs required
- Excellent organizational skills with strong attention to detail and data accuracy
- Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
- Able to proactively identify and flag potential supply issues that may require action plans
for avoidance or mitigation - Highly skilled in Excel, comfortable with pivots, LOOKUPs. Capable of creating custom
reports when necessary - Creative, resourceful problem solver and self-starter, comfortable working in dynamic
environment - Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management (SCM) or relevant field preferred
- APICS certification preferred
Work Arrangement
Hybrid: This role operates in a hybrid capacity, blending the benefits of remote work with the advantages of in-person collaboration. In locations where our workplace policy applies (i.e. San Jose, Durham, Mexico City, Bangalore, Pune, Hoofddorp, Belgrade, Barcelona, Singapore, Sydney and Tokyo), employees are expected to work onsite a minimum of 3 days per week to foster collaboration, team alignment, and access to in-office resources. The pay range for this position at commencement of employment is expected to be between USD $ 85,600 and USD $ 171,600 per year.
However, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including a sign-on bonus, restricted stock units, and discretionary awards in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility and various paid time off benefits, such as vacation, sick time, and parental leave), dependent on the position offered. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.
If hired, employee will be in an “at-will position” and the Company reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
